Goldilocks did not hear the big bear's voice because it sounded like thunder, the medium bear's voice sounded like a dream, but the wee bear's shrill voice woke Goldilocks up and she saw the three bears sitting on the edge of her bed and ran out the window. Traditional fairy tales can be a great way to develop the skills needed for P4C with young children aged four to seven. The bears returned home and realized someone had eaten some of their porridge (and all of wee bear's), sat in all of their chairs (and broke the bottom out of wee bear's), and lied in all of their beds (and was still in wee bear's).
Goldilocks felt tired so she went to big bear's bed but it was too high at the head, the medium bear's bed was too high at the feet, but the wee bear's bed was just right so she fell asleep there. The big bear's chair was too hard, the medium bear's chair was too soft, but the wee bear's chair was just right so she sat there until the bottom came out. "Someone's been sitting in my chair," said the Mama bear. "Someone's been sitting in my chair," growled the Papa bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge and they ate it all up!" cried the Baby bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge," said the Mama bear. Kids will giggle when she enters their home to find fur everywhere and thinks, They must have kitties.
Ignoring warning signs posted all over the trees, Goldilocks takes a short cut right to the bears’ house. "Someone's been eating my porridge," growled the Papa bear. Goldilocks was one of those naughty little girls who do whatever they please. Goldilocks fell asleep.Īs she was sleeping, the three bears came home. Then she lay down in the third bed and it was just right. Then she lay in the second bed, but it was too soft. She lay down in the first bed, but it was too hard. Goldilocks was very tired by this time, she went upstairs to the bedroom. But just as she settled down into the chair to rest, it broke into pieces! "Ahhh, this chair is just right," she sighed. So she tried the last and smallest chair. "This chair is too big, too!" she whined. Goldilocks sat in the first chair to rest. So, she walked into the living room where she saw three chairs. "Ahhh, this porridge is just right," she said happily and she ate it all up.Īfter she'd eaten the three bears' breakfasts, she decided she was feeling a little tired. So, she tasted the last bowl of porridge. So, she tasted the porridge from the second bowl. "This porridge is too hot!" she exclaimed. She tasted the porridge from the first bowl. She knocked and, when no one answered, she walked right in.Īt the table in the kitchen, there were three bowls of porridge. The Goldilocks story offers wonderful opportunity for the storyteller to act out the different voices a big, deep voice for Father Bear, a middle-sized voice.
